Vail Avalanche Rescue Dogs
The Vail Avalanche Rescue Dogs are an important asset to our community. In addition to providing rapid response in case of an emergency, the dogs help raise awareness for avalanche and backcountry safety.
Mission: The mission of Vail Avalanche Rescue Dogs (VARD) is to provide the resources, necessary guidance and appropriate support to care for and train the Vail Avalanche Rescue Dogs to the highest possible level. VARD also provides assistance to members of the Vail community in need due to injury or other hardships and serves as an educational resource for the communities of Eagle County.

Fureverhomes
Our Organization FDR, Inc. is a non-profit, incorporated, 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of the Doberman Pinscher breed in VA, MD, WV, NC, SC, GA, PA, and NJ.
Fostering is often the lifeline of Rescue, without fosters rescues are often unable to say yes to taking a shelter dog in danger of euthanasia or an owner surrender in a difficult situation. Fostering can be very rewarding, it’s a way to give back to the breed we all love and a way to pay it forward as well. By opening your home to a rescued dog, you help us prepare a dog for a “Fureverhome” and when that dog is placed, it opens up a spot for another life to also be saved, the circle of life continues and we here at rescue simply cannot do what we do without wonderful foster homes like you.

Planned Pethood
“Making a world of difference in companion animal welfare.”
PPI truly needs your support to achieve its simple mission:
“The reduction of companion animal overpopulation throughout the world.” At first glance a seemingly daunting task, but with a truly simple solution: Put effort into spay/neuter campaigns, train veterinarians to continue the work, and develop culturally relevant educational materials to help influence future societal concepts. No one group is committed to these goals more than PPI, and with your tax deductible donation you can be a part of companion animal history.
The use of limited resources to warehouse a large number of animals is not a solution to companion animal overpopulation. Only the reduction in population will elevate the status of these animals and ensure their safety and well-being.
